A few rewrites

We haven’t forgotten about posting, we’re just working on a few internal rewrites. The collision system is being upgraded to allow for layered collisions- this will give us the flexibility we need to control bullet behavior when you’re surrounded by a mix of friendly and hostile ships.

I also rewrote the ship creation system. The frontend hasn’t changed, but the way the ships are created is much cleaner and better suited for the myriad of uses the system sees. So the ship creation code can create ships for additional editing in the editor, or it can load the player’s saved ship, or it can load NPC ships into the world from a database of ship designs. I also cleaned up the code around the flight controls, so the player input and AI input is processed by the same flight computer, so the ships are controlled the same.
